Out the Crateboxx: A Southern Hayze Production: Outlawz
With their third mix tape, Southern Hayze is musically blessing our ears again with Outlawz. Of the three tapes they have released, this has to be my favorite. Why? Their growth. It is obvious they are mastering their craft. Their creativity together allows them to take popular, well- known beats like on "Can't Get Enough" and "One Time" and make it their own.
Track 5 entitled "Wazzup" is one of those songs you can't just listen to one time. You listen to that song in doubles. The strings in the back only adds to the clean flow the boys delivered on this track.
One of my favorite tracks on the album is "Lost N A Maze". This southern style dance rap (as I like to call it) is very popular in Miami. This song takes me back to jookin and posting up at the clubs back home. That is what music is supposed to do for you. Good music temporarily removes you from your current situation and for three minutes, everything is alright.
